How do you make a teaser when the only picture of the device sits inside a PowerPoint?
A teaser for a new device, built entirely from its engineering data — 17 days from brief to finished 4K master. It led straight to the next commission.
The brief
The ICS Dizcovery is a new Natus device for diagnosing dizziness: video goggles that track eye movements. Ahead of the launch, Natus needed a short teaser to build curiosity — heavy on typography, with music that starts soft and then builds. No filming was planned.
Seventeen days and a PowerPoint
There were 17 days between brief and delivery. At the start, the device existed as a rotating 3D view — embedded in a PowerPoint. That looks fine in a presentation, but no 3D software can open it. Without a real model there is no light, no surface and no camera move.
What we did
- Asked Natus’s engineering team directly for the CAD files. Six days after the brief, they arrived.
- Built the device from the CAD data: materials, surfaces, light, the red laser — so that it looks photographed.
- Developed the story from a single word: discover. It opens up into precision, progress, freedom and hope — and ends on the name of the device.
- Typography as the lead, with music and edit tuned to a build from quiet to big.
- Finished in 4K, on the agreed day.
The outcome
Delivered on the delivery date, and the response came the same day: it hit the mark. Six months later came the next commission — the full product video for the ICS Dizcovery, which Natus has shown publicly since September 2024.
Why engineering data beats a prototype
Work from R&D’s own files and you need no finished device, no studio and no shipping. The product can be on screen before it has been built. And the model stays: the product video that followed built on the same work instead of starting from scratch.

Which of these do you actually need?
A conversation settles that faster than a quote. And we will tell you when something is no use to you.
Every enquiry is welcome — including the ones that never turn into a job. We learn something from every conversation. Tell us the problem, we will listen and think it through with you. That is the least anyone should expect.
