How do you honour people on a stage when you have never filmed them?

Honouring people across several countries without a single shoot day — every winner became a Lego figure. All it took was a photo and a short profile.

The opening titles — one of several blocks built for the evening.

The brief

Baxter honours outstanding employees every year. The winners sit across several countries. The ceremony needed award videos.

The route most people would take

Travel and shoot. For a handful of people in several countries that means trips, scheduling, filming permissions, budget — and, at the end of it, people who would rather not stand in front of a camera and look like it. An honour where the honouree looks awkward honours nobody.

What we proposed instead

  • Build every winner as a Lego figure. All it takes is a photo and a short profile — no shoot day, no travel, no appointment with the person at all.
  • Concept, figure matching and the 3D animation from one team.
  • Plus the print for the event: winner overview, panels, back panel for the room.
  • Delivered in several formats and as separate building blocks — title loop, intro, empty background, end loop — so the event technicians could cue them during the live ceremony, in whatever order the evening took.

The outcome

A standing ovation. Lego works across generations and treads on nobody’s toes — a figure is an honour you are allowed to laugh at.

The point we care about

This started as the pragmatic answer: we wanted to avoid a shoot on location. It turned out to be the better one. And a live ceremony gives you no second chance — whatever does not play immediately does not play at all. So we deliver in the formats the technology in the room needs, not in whatever is quickest to export.

Which of these do you actually need?

A conversation settles that faster than a quote. And we will tell you when something is no use to you.

Every enquiry is welcome — including the ones that never turn into a job. We learn something from every conversation. Tell us the problem, we will listen and think it through with you. That is the least anyone should expect.
