We were never in show business.
We do the everyday work — and we do it properly.

What we show them. Product videos, plant films, corporate films.
Your documents. Brochures, catalogues, data sheets — in any language.
Your website. Concept, design and build from one team.
Your products need explaining. Your customers compare carefully, decide slowly and never forgive a promise that does not hold. Those are the markets we have worked in since 1999.
On average, our clients stay with us for more than twenty years. It is the most honest number an agency can show. Nobody stays two decades with someone who only makes pretty pictures.
From Mexico to Bangkok, on four continents. A trade show is a date that will not move: on the morning the doors open, the work is done or it is not. The hardest test an agency can face — and a normal year for us.
Design, animation, 3D visualisation, film, copy, community management. One team from the first sketch to the finished job — no hand-offs between three suppliers, and nothing lost in between.
You may know how it goes with a new agency: a big kick-off, a fresh concept, a room full of new faces. Six months later the contact person changes. Then everything takes longer. In the end you do it yourself again — a year older.
A promise will not fix that. How a team is set up will.
Johannes Wallmen has looked after clients since 1999, Sabine Meissner has been designing since 1999. Some of our clients have been with us for more than twenty years. That does not happen with rotating faces.
Six people in the house, and you will have met all of them after the first meeting. Overload produces exactly the story above — which is why we also say no.
Almost every long partnership here began with a single job, not an annual contract. One data sheet is enough to find out whether we are a good fit.
Four partnerships, four challenges. No campaign poetry — just what actually happened. The oldest of them began at ICS Media, which became ICOM in 2012.
1998
SML

28years
Our first SML catalogue was made at ICS Media, when layouts were still assembled by hand. Today we deliver trade-show films, photography and mailings worldwide — and the finest praise arrives in four words: "Thanks, that works." Twenty-eight years of picking up the phone and getting an answer, across a change of name. That is what trust sounds like in mechanical engineering.
The first catalogue was assembled by hand. The craft has reinvented itself twice since. Anyone who does not relearn it each time drops out — even after twenty-eight years.
1999
GE HealthCare

27years
A corporation like GE HealthCare changes structures, teams and tools — regularly. What has never changed — first as ICS Media, since 2012 as ICOM: when a direct mailing, a trade-show presence or community management is due, ICOM is the partner who has always been there, and nothing surprises us any more. In B2B, reliability is not an extra. It is the product.
In 2026 a mailing to France sat for weeks somewhere between two postal services — the same run had long since arrived in Romania and the Czech Republic. We now keep our own recipients across Europe. They receive every run and report the day it actually landed in the letterbox.
2013
Natus Sensory

13years
When Natus needed new imagery for four medical devices at once, our studio ran a two-day production with sets, models and clinical scenes — and the head of global marketing flew in personally. That is how the partnership has run for fifteen years: Natus brings the product, ICOM builds the stage — from brand film to sales deck.
The first plan was bigger than the budget. It was cut back until it fit — and only then did the head of global marketing fly in for two days on set.
2021
Baxter

5years
The youngest of the four partnerships — five years old. And already we make the films that carry the most feeling in any corporation: the employee awards, stories about people rather than products. Plus catalogues, print and presentations. Trust like that does not come with the first job. It can be earned faster than people expect.
At the start you get the small jobs. The award films came only once the small jobs had landed several times over.
Both managing directors were once what you are today: marketing managers looking for an agency and responsible for a budget. The craft has been in-house since 1999 — design, artwork, print production. How that grew, and who is behind it, has a page of its own.
A conversation settles that faster than a quote. And we will tell you when something is no use to you.
Every enquiry is welcome — including the ones that never turn into a job. We learn something from every conversation. Tell us the problem, we will listen and think it through with you. That is the least anyone should expect.
